I had only received this tripod about 20 minutes before writing my first impressions, but I was genuinely excited to see whether it would actually feel like good quality. I chose the 74-inch all-black version, which was on sale for $33.99 instead of the regular $39.99, and honestly I expected I might end up returning it. I had been comparing a lot of other tripods priced over $100, but I really did not want to spend that much money. My previous tripod came bundled with my camera, and it was flimsy, unreliable, and broke a long time ago, so I had been putting off replacing it. Most of the reviews I had read for other tripods mentioned durability issues, which made me hesitant to buy another one. This one, however, has impressed me right from the start. The included accessories were a great surprise and made the package feel even more worthwhile. It came with a nice zippered carrying bag, two camera clips, a phone mount attachment, and all the necessary handles and pieces to screw everything securely into place. I especially appreciated the extra camera clip, since those small parts can be easy to damage or wear out with other brands. The tripod also includes solid feet that attach to the bottom of each leg, which adds to the overall feeling of quality and stability. Even though this is only the second tripod I have ever owned, it already feels far better than the first one by a huge margin. What stood out to me most was how sturdy and well-made it feels. I actually said “wow” out loud several times while setting it up because I was so impressed. The legs extend in four sections, and the center column raises the camera high enough to stand taller than I am. Despite that height, it still folds down compactly into the carrying bag, which makes it easy to transport. Setup was simple and intuitive, and it only took me a few minutes to figure everything out. The legs are a little stiff when extending or collapsing, but to me that actually makes the tripod feel more secure and solid. As long as you do not force anything, it works smoothly and holds the camera firmly in place. So far it feels versatile, stable, and extremely functional, especially for the price. If my opinion changes later I will update it, but right now I am thrilled with this tripod and would absolutely recommend it.

The tripod is lightweight and fairly sturdy, with construction that is made mostly from aluminum and plastic, which helps keep it portable while still feeling dependable. The tubular parts, including the leg sections, monopod sections, and center post, are aluminum, and that gives it a better overall feel than I expected at this price point. One of the biggest advantages is its height, since it extends tall enough to be comfortable even for someone over 6 feet 2 inches, whether used as a tripod or as a monopod. The quick-deploy monopod feature is especially useful and seems like a great option for outdoor photography or situations where mobility matters. The tripod seems particularly well suited for indoor use, but it also has thoughtful features that can improve performance outdoors. The center hook allows extra weight to be added for better stability, and keeping the legs less extended can also make the setup feel more secure. The pan and tilt functions work smoothly and do help create steadier camera movement, almost like a light form of image stabilization when adjusted carefully. With a little practice and the right knob tension, it becomes possible to achieve smooth panning and tilting for video work. The included Bluetooth remote paired with a smartphone quickly and worked very well, which adds even more convenience. My only small complaint is that the instruction pamphlet for the remote uses extremely tiny print, making it difficult to read without magnification. As for the carrying bag, I found it fit the tripod perfectly when collapsed properly, and it even had enough extra room for accessories and instructions. It may not be the right choice for heavy professional setups or very windy conditions, but for general use, limited budgets, or anyone who wants something lightweight and functional, it feels like an excellent buy. I am very glad I purchased it.

I have not had the chance to use this tripod out in the field yet, but after handling it at home, my first impression is very positive. The parts all appear to be well machined, and it feels like the most versatile tripod I have owned so far. It is surprisingly easy to convert into a monopod or flip the center column upside down, and both adjustments can be done without tools, which is very convenient. The ball head feels solid and well made, and the quick release plate seems sturdier than those on several other quick-release tripods I have used in the past. I also appreciated that the tripod includes three hex wrenches so the legs can be tightened if they ever become loose over time. Small details like that make it feel like a thoughtfully designed product. That said, the instructions are very basic, and that caused some confusion when I first started setting it up. I accidentally removed the wrong part of the center column, and putting it back together was a bit tricky because there are two plastic guide pieces that only fit one specific way inside the tube. In monopod mode, the padded grip sits a little lower than I would personally prefer, although I can see how that position could actually be useful when shooting above a crowd. The tripod also comes with a short center pole and a double-ended screw for using it in place of the longer center pole, but there are no instructions explaining how those parts should be used. Another downside is that the case does not really have a secure storage spot for those loose accessories. I ended up reinforcing the small zip bag they came in with duct tape because it had already torn during shipping, although I was still able to fit the bag, tools, instructions, and tripod into the case. It also includes a soft drawstring bag to protect the ball head, which is a nice extra touch. Overall, this feels like a very good quality tripod for the price, and while it is somewhat heavy, that extra weight seems to contribute to better sturdiness and stability

This is the second tripod I have purchased from Victiv, so I already had a good idea of the brand’s quality before trying this one. I also own the AT72 model, which has three-section quick leg flip locks and reaches 72 inches, but this tripod offers a different experience and impressed me right away in the field. I recently took it with me to Mill Creek Nature Center in Buford, Georgia, and one of the first things I noticed was how compact it is when folded down, which makes it especially convenient for travel. It is not overly heavy to carry, yet it still felt strong enough to support my Nikon D850 paired with a Sigma 150-600mm Contemporary lens, which is no small setup. That combination alone gave me confidence that this tripod can handle serious gear without feeling unstable. Another standout feature is the height, because this tripod extends extremely tall. When I raised it all the way, it actually became too tall for me to comfortably use the viewfinder, so taller photographers will probably appreciate that extra reach even more. In terms of handling, it does take a little time to get used to the ball head for wildlife photography, especially if you are more accustomed to using a gimbal head like I am. On my AT72, I use a Neewer gimbal head and have been very happy with that setup, so naturally I still prefer that style for tracking wildlife. Even so, this tripod is sturdy, versatile, and capable enough to handle many types of photography without issue. It would work well for portraits, macro, landscapes, and general outdoor shooting, and it offers more than enough performance for someone getting started or expanding their gear. I would even be interested in seeing Victiv release a model designed specifically for wildlife photography in the future. For now, though, this is a very solid tripod that offers a lot of value, and I would definitely recommend giving it a try
